Snap, my husband thought I'd lost the plot when I still extremely shaken jumped out of the car took photos of the driver of the other car, the damage it had caused our car and the damage to his car, which actually was far worse than ours. I told him I would use the photos on the Internet if he didn't sort it out with his insurers by Friday at the latest, It was Monday I:30pm , we travelled the 22miles to our home, then my husband phoned his insurers, the man had already contacted them. They laid on an hire car for us that afternoon and ours took two weeks to repair.
The man sent flowers and an apology note to us, and asked if I would destroy the photos I had done it the day of the accident.

Yes, I do. And your reason is one of the same reasons I carry mine. But there are any number of of things that could happen around you these days that you might need to quickly document.
Digital cameras are great. And if you don't have one with you at the instant you need it, the opportunity to get the shot can be gone in seconds.

I just use my mobile phone, it has an option to date stamp the pics, otherwise i could just be scamming.
It is a good idea though, especially if you have an accident with someone who just doesn't really give a t*ss.
Also fantastic for taking pictures of things people neer believe, like UFO's and cows with 2 heads and stuff.

I don't, because the batteries are always dead in it. I can't find good batteries that will stay charged after taking a couple pictures. I do use my cell alot though, it has a camera on it; I even email pics from my cell to the computer and post them on myspace ;)

I don't, but I find myself using it practically everyday. Most insurance companies recommend keeping a camera (disposable are cheap enough) in your car for just such emergencies.
