It has had volcanic eruptions, and technically speaking a volcano is considered "active" if it has erupted within the last 200 years. Many volcanoes in Canada that are active, are expected to erupt again in the future. I imagine that some volcanoes will be located on the western coast of Canada e.g. British Columbia, as this province is located on the "Pacific Rim of Fire", kind of like a circle that extends from Hawaii, up along California and Alaska, and then down around to Japan. Picture it that way. This area has alot of volcanic activity.

The final volcanic eruption in Canada became in British Columbia on the Nisga'a Memorial Lava Beds Provincial Park approximately 60 km north of Terrace, British Columbia in 1790. the main modern-day lava flowed 22.5 km from the vent to the Nass River. I visited this section returned interior the 1960's and that i became very curious approximately all the pumice rock that i chanced on. Pumice rock has various small holes in it from the gases that have been jumbled in with it whilst the rock became molten. The eruption of Tseax cone is the sole eruption in Canada for which legends of First international locations human beings have been shown. The Nisga'a (Tsimshian human beings) tell of a protracted era of disruption via the volcano, which incorporates the destruction of their village on the Nass River and the dying of a few human beings (reportedly 2000) from "poisonous smoke"

Montreal is known to have small seismic disturbances, and the west coast is especially known to have some, but I'm not sure about eruptions.
