Why I ask this is we say look inside the heart for more because beauty is skin deep!. Ok but when you see an attractive person with a less than attractive person you hear.."Ewww why is he/she with them they could do better" Now what's your take? I thought the inside matters more or does it not...?

Yes. The inside matters the most. I ask this: Is it their partner's looks that make someone happy? That says a lot about someone and nothing good. Or is it the way the person is that makes them happy? The inside matters the most.

they'll talk crap about you behind your back and in your face no matter how one acts/presents his/herself in society and the preference for our partners is one of the many things that society judges us by. good question but unfortunately,the answer you are searching for is a debateable one,even when you have kids,they'll ask you the same question when they get older.you can't help who you fall in love with.if we were to live by others peoples rules then we'll be as screwed up as they are.but notice this,those who do the talking are doing it behind the other person's back.

I honestly think its because they r totally insecure people and it makes them just fell soooo much better to bring down and make fun of other people. Misery loves company so they drag down all the people they can!!! They need to get a life and learn to love themselves so other people can stand to be around them! All of us are entitled to our own opinions, people don't have to like what they see nor agree with others' views.
That being said, if individuals are happy with their partners, they don't need to pay mind or give a rat's a*s of what anyone else thinks, I certainly wouldn't.
