I hardly ever close my bathroom door since I'm the only one who lives here, & I tried to close it, & it wouldn't close. I never had this problem before with closing the door. I close it only when guests are here.

Look at where the door is catching.

Setting of the house should be detected by the edge of the door and that of the frame are not parallel.

Look at the side with the door handle, it will be harder to determine but are they parallel. Then look at the bottom, it should be widest space and can best be judged by the width of the gape on each side.

If it is sticking on more than one side, it is probably moisture. This would be especially true the door is not properly sealed (bare wood).

If all 3 side are not parallel the door frame or house has shifted. If it is not very much you can plane or sand the door to fit the frame. Be sure to re-seal. If it is more you should find a handyman to fit the door.

Usually the main thing is the humidity. A belt sander or a palm sander, sand the door frame if it is wood, only the part that in-cases the door. Not to much. Just enough to take the paint off then about the same thickness off the wood depending on how bad it is. Sand a little then try to close keep doing that until you have a visible gap between the door and frame. Then repaint and you should be good to go. If it is stained just do the same it will be harder to match to stain than paint.

Check the hinges on the door. If they needed to be tightened, the door may become stuck because it is slightly off the frame. Get a screwdriver and screw the screw tightly. I hope this solves your problem

most houses settle seasonally. the door may be misaligned only during the winter. pull the pin on top hinge and bend the doors half towards the knob to raise the latch, or bottom to lower it.

It and/or its frame gets warped, possibly from being wet. Or the house has shifted a bit. If it is just one door, it could be warping. More than one, and it is likely to be the house movement.
