my dad use to be a bodyguard protecting other people, my sister asked him to stay home & now he does all the time.
My dad loves us very much & he tells us all the time we love our dad.

Not really, he moved from Jamaica to the US when I was a baby, so I didnt really know him as a person, I knew him through phone calls, letters, and the material stuff he used to send us. He passed away in '99, and could hardly force myself to cry, even though I basically cry for/ about anything.
My older sister gets mad whenever I talk like this, but I dont care......because obviously he didnt care about us, since he never came back to visit us once, even though I used to ask him all the time. But he was too busy with his "wife", and other kids who I care not to know.
Forgive me if I seem like a bitter person.

I just talked to my dad for the first time in a while --- through instant messaging...
I can't say that I love him. He's hasn't been a father to me since I was a kid.

of course I love my Dad athough he passed away 5 years ago I still feel that spot in my heart for him. When our family gets together there is that hole that he once filled but when he was alive we had the best of times.....I miss him alot ....Love your dad while you can because when he is gone its a hole that never gets filled again!

My father is no longer here. He died. He may not have been the great father he could have been had he tried. But in my own way I loved him. And miss him at times.

I love my dad. I seriously worry about him, because he doesn't take care of himself like he knows he should, but I do tell him I love him everyday. My kids ADORE him.
