hi, i am doing a class project and i am in charge of public relations for a hotel based in thailand. what exactly are my duties to preform as the head of public relations? thanks. best answer to someone who can help me out :)

You need to promote the hotel. Either to raise awareness or maintain media coverage.

You could do this in a number of ways:

1) Write press releases about anything new going on at the hotel and send to relevant press/media

2) Provide spokespeople to give commentary on issues facing the hotel / restaurant industry

3) Maintain working relationships with the media /other relevant organisations so that they will mention your hotel favourably in their articles and/or promotional material

And you must also perform a "defensive PR/crisis management " role which involves controlling and managing negative news involving your hotel.
