Eh... Kind of tough, since the Native ones are owned by the entire tribal entity and the much needed money goes into all of their people's well being.
That would be hard to transfer over for black folks as the state or an organization or an individual would no doubt own it and make most of the profit.
Maybe...if it was set up to help the poorest of ghetto neighborhoods and would likewise go into the community, especially the children, rather then directly into pockets (as no doubt that would probably solve little). To help fix the place up, bring in programs for jobs, struggling single parents, rehab, elderly, and funds to help the children get to college.
I would support an idea if it went to the poor, not as "you owe me" money to all people. Because there ARE many black folks who DO do very well for themselves and the help needs to go to those that really need it...and hopefully those that don't need the help would agree.
Maybe the idea could be implemented for all poor communities no matter the 'color'.

How can this country ever come together when so many people demand to be treated differently? So,no. I don't think blacks should be given special reparations. I don't think Native Americans should have casinos either. It is just a magnet for corruption, addiction, foolish behavior, and the destruction of countless family finances.

No. Reparations would have been very reasonable a hundred years ago, though I think forty acres and a mule was more appropriate than casino rights.
But today an investment in improving inner city schools are what is needed, job training programs, and mentoring programs for disenfranchised youths. Not specifically for blacks, but for all who suffer from lack of opportunity. We need to stop thinking in terms of race in America.
Do you think Oprah Winfrey wants a handout? Does Barack Obama? Colin Powell? Spike Lee? Russell Simmons? Tiger Woods?
Handouts are degrading, discrimination is no longer the problem, its access to opportunity that must be addressed.

The Native Americans are allowed to set up casinos because of how they were treated in the beginning of our country. They were truly treated badly. This was their country before we came here. Allowing them to have the land is just a small gesture to them. They deserve so much more. So in answer to your question, there is no reason for any other race to have this right.

Why don't you stand on your own two feet, and if you someday own a casino by your own hard work and sacrifice, I will attend.....
