I really want to act. I think I have the talent and the stamina. I have friends who are in movies, and I know the pressure they are under, but I think I can handle it. I don't have very much experience at all, just a school musical, and a drama class when I was like... 8. I'm 14 now.

i am also 14 and have the same dream.
my advice, take drama class again to realise if its truly what you want to do.
if so, (after i did that) what i did was joined a musical theatre company near my house, which hire kids for movies, tv shows and stuff like that.
if you do that, who knows what might happen.
and remember, anything is possible!

There are a million kids who think the exact same way you do. Just read this forum a couple of days. If they are friends, why don't they get you in the movies? That's what friends are for. Step 1-Get your parents' approval, Step 2- be in all the plays at school Step three-get a mentor Step 4 be in more plays in the community step 5 Tale professional classes Step 6, prepare resume and head shot Step 7 Learn how to audition and interview. Step 8 try to find an agent. This process will take a few years. The harder you work, the less time it will take, but a few years. For more info read my profile and write me at my aol address/
