I'm thinking monkeys can ride in the baby seats, puppies and kittens are no problem, snakes might sneak out, and turtles you can put in the bottom shelf, if you don't dawdle.

You know I'd be interested in the answers to this question, since I own a pet shop.
One thing we definitely need: Parents who can manage their children better.

Yes, they should and yes, they do. I am glad they do because I purchase 80 pounds of critter litter every 2 weeks and I need that shopping cart to get the bags to the car.

maybe but there would need to be a warning advising people buying Gold fish not to dawdle on the way to the checkout

I put my kids in them so they dont terrorize the kitties!!
Go in and get the cart--put the girls in it--go all over the store to look at everything and THEN, buy a dollar's worth of meal worms--it's hysterical.

The pet stores I've been in do have them. They come in handy for heavy dog food.
