Most of us who aren't yankees fans love to see the yankees lose. This is because they spend a fortune on their team, which makes it very unfair for the teams who cant afford what they can. Did you ever think maybe thats why they have so many world series wins. We love to watch baseball, and good baseball to me isn't having a team full of high priced players, but a team put together of people who really try hard to win the game for the sake of winning. Not because they have been paid a fortune to play. Go any team but the YANKEES!!!

I never could figure that out. ONLY baseball has fans like that. They don't show many last place teams on the NFL games or the NBA games. But in baseball, if you win, people hate you and if you lose you're a hero. The Yankees have bought a lot of titles since the mid-80s, but they were solid winners a long time before that. Still people hated them even back then. Now that the Red Sox have won the World Series, their fans have become just as ugly as the Yankees' and their peripheral fans of years ago have fallen away. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

cubs have soriano, lee, ramirez
boston has manny and big papi
people come to see those guys play even if the team sucks

Me, i am die hard jays, win or lose you can hear me rooting for them. But the Yanks, nobody wants to root for em anymore. Why? because, watching the yanks win is OLD, its old school, it s BORING... why cant they let another team win for once, they ve won too mush its making baseball as dull as a stick if the yanks won every time..

everyone likes to see underdog win as we think they are more deserving....take the patriots...ppl were overall happy when they won their first super bowl....not so much anymore! cuz they are just not underdogs anymore...patriots remind me of cowboys and steelers in 70's and 90's....i hated those teams!!!
