It shouldn't be a problem.

Some women experience a temporary tiny dip, but not a real decrease in supply that requires any methods of increasing... you just may notice that while you are menstruating or ovulating that your baby may want to nurse a few extra times those days.

My period came back at 2 months, I nursed for 18 months w/ no supply issues ever.

It can. It's rare though, and the effect is usually minimal, although some mothers I know have experienced substantial drops. This seems to be more pronounced in mothers with other problems, such as PCOS. Some have reported substantial drops in pumping output (which isn't the same as nursing, and should never be used as a gauge of your supple - low pump output does not equal low supply)

Breast tenderness resulting from menstruation can also lead to a certain reluctance to breastfeed, so you might delay longer than you otherwise might, which can definitely affect your supply.

Lactation and menstruation can definitely affect each other; lactation can completely suppress ovulation for a time, and menstruation can indeed affect supply, although the effects are usually not going to affect your nursing relationship.

I personally never noticed any change, but I suffered from oversupply problems, and any slight drop in milk production was a blessing, not a problem. ;)

The opposite is true: lactation affects menstruation. You usually won't have a regular menstrual period until you stop nursing full-time.

It never affected mine. actually, steady lactation (feeding or pumping every 2-4 hours) will hold off menstruation.

My doctor told me the other day that the milk supply slows down a bit then returns to normal in a couple of days.

I noticed a slight drop in supply when I was menstruating, but it wasn't enough to cause problems.

It doesn't do anything to your lactation. The hormone needed for lactation isn't the same.

Not that I am aware of. However, your hormones can change whether you have a period or not.
