I think you should buy it in year 2007. Why wait, when you could already be enjoying it? It doesn't really matter if the price drops or not, because the PS3 is worth the price that it's selling for anyways. I bought my 60GB PS3 last year and I paid $685 for mine, and I don't regret it one bit.
The latest that you should wait is early spring 2008 because Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Killzone 2 are coming out then and those games will be the biggest games of spring 2008 for the PS3, and oh yea, 2008 will be the PS3's year to shine.
