1. Separate the variables.
3 * sqrt(x^2) * sqrt(y^3)
3 * x * (y^3)^(1/2) convert from sqrt()
3 * x * y^(3/2)
3xy^(3/2) or 3xy * sqrt(y)

2. 4 * (2)^(1/2), convert from sqrt(2)
2^2 * (2)^(1/2), add exponents
2^(5/2)

The sqrt(arguement) can be represented by (arguement)^1/2
