It's my daughters name already but I am just wondering. Her name is Cassidy Louise, Cassidy was the name of a cute little strawberry blonde kid I met a few years back and I said I would call my daughter that and I forgot about it. When hubby and I were trying to decide names HE actually came up with Cassidy so I figured it was meant to be and we went with it. You like or no?

Yeah she is Cassie for short or Cass (it gets tiring having to repeat 3 syllables over and over when trying to get her out of the kitchen)

Haha I just looked it up to see what it means and it said curly-headed and clever lol her father is a south african electrical engineer so she has curly hair and hopefully she has inherited his intelligence : )

Hahaha I actually have no idea who Butch Cassidy is although my mum did mention it. Cassie Lou is fine she can deal with it, Louise is my middle name and I always got called Ammie-Lou by my family (My name is Amanda)

Your daughter name was destined to be that name. I think it is a wonderful name. Just imagined the name means curly and your daughter's hair is curly, that is a very nice. I was a school teacher and teacher's appreciate names like those. Good job!

It's a bit dated for me, personally -- I knew quite a few born in the 70s and 80s, and my brother dated one (NOT a good break-up LOL) -- so while I wouldn't use it myself, I don't find it an odd choice or anything. Quite the opposite, since it's been a fairly common, even trendy, choice for girls for the past two decades. ;)

i like it just fine.my oldest daughters name is CASSANDRA.we have always called her CASSIE or CASS also.i picked her name from a baby name book over 2 years before i even got pregnant with her!good luck.
