Employers always pull this one to increase their own personal profits (greed) and unemployment is well aware of it. File for an appeal immediately; as your appeal window is very short. Unfortunately the unemployment office usually side with the employer as this also saves them money. If that happens either see a lawyer (some advocates will do it for free) or you're on your own. It's just the way it is.

unless you have PROOF, not much. Unemployment always sides with the employer, because the employer is the contributor.
