What kind of internet connection do you have?
My cable modem has multiple ports on it. If you have high speed internet, it shouldn't be a problem.
If your house is wired for it, you could buy a second modem (cable or DSL). Frequently the most cost effective way would be to buy a wireless router (or drag cables across your house).
You can get wireless routers pretty cheap (I've seen specials on them for around $20 for a 802.11g...[the letter at the end is all that matters] -- the 802.11n ones are about twice as fast and run closer to $80+).
If your second computer doesn't have a wireless card, you'd want one of those as well (leave the one next to the connection hard wired).

More than likely, it won't cost anymore money. If you have dial-up internet, almost positive it won't. If you have some kind of dsl, you just need to use a router, which will then be connected to both your pc's. The only thing I'm not really sure about is satellite, but I still don't think it would cost any extra.

No you'll need a router. if you computer has wireless compatibility, then get a netgear router, if not, linksys should work just fine.
