If you want a punk sound, try listening to the old Repo Man soundtrack there's a few songs on that that might be what you are looking for.
If you want something a little more up tempo try some early Metallica, like Creeping Death, The Four Horseman, Fade to Black, Sanitarium (and the list goes on...)
P.S. - I agree with some of the other answers that you could be a bit more descriptive as there are hundreds of songs out there that would fit your description.

Yeah, I don't really understand what the adjective "dull" means in the context. I have never heard of any of those songs, and the only band I listen to in your list is the Smashin Pumpkins, but I have few songs.
Punk rock is generally highly energetic.

Anything by Our Lady Peace post 1997. Their music is dull and it's usually got corny themes.

What the heck do you mean by "dull"? I don't get it. Can't you come up with a better adjective? If you frame your question better, you'll get better answers. Use a Thesaurus for crying out loud!
