I need one for an audition, but I can't find any that aren't totally religious. Does anyone know of any sites with Christmas monologues that are not super religious, and maybe a little comedic? Any help would be great. Thanks!

I hate to give this away, but you will knock 'em dead with a piece from A Child's Christmas in Wales, by Dylan Thomas

There isn't exactly a role for a teenage girl in it, but you might find something in Dickens' A Christmas Carol. It has been made into a theatre piece many times, and the speeches read like theatre. Also Dylan Thomas wrote A Christmas in Wales, that I have heard as a dramatic reading. That could also be done with the sublimely beautiful A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote. Hard to believe that he wrote that! break a leg!

Begging your pardon, but:

Why should a Christmas monologue be NOT religious? Granted, the Church co-opted an existing holiday, but what is that to you?

Saturnalia (Xmas) is a time for Rebirth, and joyousness. If, indeed, Our Redeemer came to Earth at this time of year, what of it?

It is rather akin to a Babar story that does NOT mention Elephants. You simply cannot do Xmas without Christ.

Chanukkah or Kwanzaa, on the other hand, have different traditions that happen to meld nicely with That Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

I would suggest a Voiceover from Jean Shepard's A Christmas Story: the one that begins: "Now My Old Man.."
