I just put in a new wireless modem in a 2nd hand desktop and still no internet what should I do next?

Would like to use this computer would there be anything I can do so I can be online with this computer?

I do have a wireless router and my notebook works wireless.

To use the wireless card you need to subscribe to broadband and buy a wireless router.
