My husband grew up in Valleyfield. I think he's mentioned it four times...let's see...There's a McDonald's but he wouldn't recommend it because they fired him for silly reasons when he was 16. There's an arcade that used to give five quarters for a dollar but I guess people stopped spending all the quarters there so I think he said they changed their policy. There's a park but apparently their neighbour used to get up early and steal the picnic tables to sell to supplement his welfare cheques so I don't know if there are any picnic tables left there. There's a dep that if the guy knows you he'll run your 6/49 tickets for every draw and you can pay him back later, but my mother-in-law eventually made my father-in-law stop the day he went in and had to pay $300 for money he'd already lost. (This was after they moved so they didn't go back to Valleyfield except to pay their lottery debts.)

That's about it. There's a CEGEP, my brother-in-law went but my husband went to Abbott. My only first-hand knowledge of Valleyfield is watching the bridge when I was a little kid and going to their house, I think only twice.

Believe me... there is NOTHING to do in Valleyfield. Go to Montreal, on Ste-Catherine street and have some fun!
