I'm trying to convert 3,700 mL into L's.
Would my decimal point be behind the number after the last zero, or will it be where the coma is????
I can't remember! Please help!

to go from a small measurement to a big measurement in the metric system, you have to divide

since Ls are 1000X mls, you divide 3700/1000=37/10=3.7

If you divide by 10 or a multiple of 10, you move the decimal to the left. If you multiply by 10 or a multiple of 10, you move the decimal point to the right

you divide the number or mL's by 1000 so 3700/1000 is 3.7. To answer ur question it would be where the comma is because you move the decimal 3 places to the left when converting from mL to L. hope I helped :)
