Red Sox playing the Angels and the Angels Winning
Indians playing the Yankees and the Indians Winning

1. The proper title is American League CHAMPIONSHIP Series. Lesser sports have "conferences".
2. MLB prohibits the wildcard team from meeting the champion team from the same division in the Division Series.
A baseball fan would have known at least one of these two facts.
