serial number starts with S8 and is 6 digits long so I know it is 79-81. It has mother of pearl inlays, all the guards and two pick ups. It is missing one volume knob and there are small surface cracks in the finish.

The volume knob can easily be replaces, so the only thing holding its value back is that crack. But dude, its vintage so it automatically gets atleast one 0 added to the end of the price, and its a jazz bass, which are already expensive to purchase. So a vintage jazz bass...well Im no expert but Im assuming its in the 1000 - 1500 range

One way to check that is to go to Ebay and look for something similar or even the same.
