Actually, there are two compilation cds that were released
in 1999 and 2000. The first one is titled: Early Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin Volume One. The second one is titled: Latter Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin Volume Two. Both were released by The Atlantic Recording Corporation.
There is also one, possibly two, boxed sets that have been released.

They didn't do any 'greatest hits' albums, but you can get a 4 disc 'box set' which covers a lot of ground. However as a big zep fan myself I would recommend the real albums.

The first five albums were all fantastic (just called Led Zeppelin I,II,III,IV and Houses of the Holy) Physical Graffitti is also good, and Presence is OK but it kind of tailed off after that. In Through the Out Door is quirky and kind of fun but not as good overall as their first few. Coda was just a few studio out-takes. (for hardcore fans only)

Go with any of the first five albums - they're ALL great!
