i dont think that he should be let go at the end of the season but if the nd team keeps going on like this and he knows that this is his recruiting class then he just might be let go at the end of the season but you know hes Charlie Weiss he proably wont get let go but u never know Marty Schottenhimer was fired and he only losed 2 or 3,4 games that season so we will never know till the end of the season

Not a Notre Dame fan, BUT they fired Ty for less. Guess their recent past is coming back to haunt them. First it was Lou Holtz who I believe won an age discrimination lawsuit. Then you had that guy who lied on his resume. Now they have the offensive genius who was supposed to be able to recruit, yet he has no offense and Notre Dame is off to it's worse start EVER and even if they won out they couldn't get into a BCS game.
Now firing Weiss isn't likely to help, unless you already have someone to bring in. Let him finish the year and then decide. If you had someone in mind and could actually bring them in right now then I could see saying hey why not do it.

So the major portion of his talent was there FOR him? It is his THIRD YEAR. It is his blame. Don't say oh the kids are young, sorry but at a supposedly prestigious school you should be used to that. Kids leave early at big name programs, and in college how old do you expect them to get? As to him being a "good" coach, based on what? This is his third year and he is yet to win in it. If you want to bring up his time with the Patriots well there are two things there. One is spygate, we know what was going on at that time as well, and the other is that his boss was a control freak and he learned NOTHING about coaching there.

No way in hell. He just has too many young players right now and they have to get used to his system. Wait a few years and Notre Dame will be right back on track.

well seeings that the major portion of his talent went in the draft last year (Brady Quinn), everyone knew that they were gonna have a rough season this year. Now personally i think they should just let him be, because he is an excellent coach. Unfortunately the people there are calling for his head, although they are improving. 19 points today :D
