That is a tough question and what criteria do you use, everyone has there favorite group. The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Queen are good choices. You could also pick the the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, or some of the others mentioned. How much did Buddy Holly and the Crickets influence rock and roll. I have to go with the Moody Blues as my choice for rock group of all time. I don't think you can resolve this issue, it is a multi group tie.

neither one of those there too outdated I would have to say nirvana were the best of the 90's and U2 were the best of the 80's the greatest of all though is the one tha you think had the most enfluence of yourself and if that's stones queen or beatles then so be it.

But all go off of Zepplin,
