First, the anticipation and excitement of it all. The first snowfall - l love it. All the Christmas baking and decorating and especially the little Christmas tree decorating party we have. The beauty of all the Christmas lights and decorations in the stores, and people's homes. And yes, I too love trying to find the perfect present for the people I love; that they will treasure because it shows my love. But most of all, being with family and friends - especially those we don't see that often, and feeling all the love!! - everyone feels it and people really are nicer, warmer and kinder toward one another at this time of year. I only wish people could be this way all year, not just Christmas!
Early days I know, but since you got me in the spirit, "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" everyone!

I think, for me. Its the Christmas shopping and the build up that comes with it. I'm a planner, always have been and like looking around the stores to see what i can get for people. My other favourite bit would be Christmas eve. Its just great....playing music and watching T.V movies. Its all good fun.
My other thing, which I've only just thought of would be the Christmas TV guides they bring out. They change the style and its always extra thick as its filled with more days like boxing day and had loads more to do in it. I know ti sounds odd but I just remember liking them when I was a kid.

Christmas shopping, the pretty lit up Christmas tree, memories of sitting on Santa's lap when I was young ( Santa does exist by the way ), family get togethers, and of course all the Christmas movies or shows like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer coming on.

My favorite thing about Christmas is the decorating. I love decorating the whole house from top to bottom. I also appreciate the cooler weather, especially after a really hot summer.

I love the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. everywhere is so busy and alive at Christmas time and it just makes me feel more energetic, especially when long, cold days makes you tired and down. and the line ups at the mall and grocery stores dont bother me becuase I only shop when I have the time. I usually save it for days when I can spend 3 or so hours at the mall if need be. and I smile at the people who dont have the sommon sense to save it for later if they only have 20 minutes. and like you, I love to select that most perfect gift for my friends and family and wrap it up and put it under the tree. I just love the entire season.

Being with the ones I love and helping others ...knowing there is hope and love ...but i feel like that all the time.
So much of what is the holiday is what has been programed into us since a young age...what about people who live elsewhere and never heard of christmas?
