My school's dance theme is Casablanca and I want to try to get a look. Right now I already have a red sparkly strapless dress and am thinknig of making my hair wavy and putting on red lipstick and donning a faux fur coat.

Well, your choice sounds good for Old Hollywood.

You can see some good examples of 1940's & '50s hairstyles t http://www.bombshells.com/gallery/index.php

Rita Hayworth was typical of the '40s look (although much better looking than most, of course). You can find a collection of her photos at http://claudia79.tripod.com/photos8.html

But 'Old Hollywood' and 'Casablanc'a are really two different themes. The movie 'Casablanca' was a black & white drama set in the Middle East, when Nazis occupyed the desert city of Morocco, with 'Rick' (Bogart) as an American restaurant owner there trying to cope with it, when an old girlfriend walks back into his life (married to a hero of the resistance). Rent the movie and watch it. It's a good film.
