heavy metal contamination in marine life is a reality. Mercury has been found in most, but not all species and not in all areas. So, the only way to know for certain, would be to have it tested at a lab for heavy metal contamination.

Mercury has been found in many fish and shellfish species. It depends on where in the food chain the species falls. Higher up has more mercury. The area they are harvested in is also a factor.
I found one website that said eat squid in moderation, once a month because of moderate contamination. Another website had a list of contaminated species and did not list squid. Farm raised did not seem to make a difference.
