The denominator (x^2 + 2x - 6) cannot equal 0,

So the domain is all real numbers except x = [-1 +/- (7)^1/2]

The roots of the quadratic denominator are
x = (-1) ±√(4+24)/2 = -1 ± √7 and the function exists at all values of
x -except- those two values (where the denominator goes to 0)
