Educate their stupid parents?

2007-09-29 13:16:11 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 8 0

Put an end to Christian oppression in this country so they are not subjected to constant hellish mistreatment every freakin day! Look at how many religious zealots come to the LBGT section and tell us we are going to hell and how wrong we are when it is none of their business. Now just imagine how much pressure is put on a young mind who has not developed the coping skills to ferret out the radical propaganda.Religious haters who THINK they know the RIGHT way account for 99.999% of the hatred towards gay people everywhere.Stop their stupid crap and we will not have as much hate.Thereby having less gay teens believing they are bad or wrong...........

Okay, I was HOPING someone would ask this... I am A bisexual teen, and even before i "came out" i was constantly made fun of. Growing up, suicide came into my thoughts a lot. So the thing that can lower suicide in gay teens is... dum dum dum!!! STOP MESSING WITH THEM!!! LET THEM BE THEM!!! :D

Being supportive and listening to these teens would go a long way...peer support groups and also groups that help deal with teenage depression and pressure...Maybe educating some of the parents would help

make them feel comfortable with who they are

I believe the parents are the biggest obstacles to over come when it comes down to coming out

make the parents understand what their children are going through because it can be really hard and discouraging to the spirit especially when you here your parents say things like fag or dyke it can really hurt and sometimes break the spirit to live

because if your parents won't accept you you might feel bad about yourself

i don't want that for any one comiting suicide is the lowest form of self expresion but sadly some of the time it can't be stopped

People have to stop making them feel so f*cking bad about themselves.

They probably feel ashamed of their sexuality because society is a bunch of f*cking assmonkeys.

People are programmed that if you're gay, you're a bad person.

If people weren't so uptight and stopped judging everyone, maybe gay teens would feel better.

We can educate the public to stop the hate talk. We can open youth center and educate school counselors how to make the youths feel less alone.

When we have family and public leader who say we are bad, people believe it --- especially our youth.

Let's change the world one person at a time.

Great question.

they need support from their peers especially in urban areas where beating on gay and bi kids is encouraged. they need support from christians telling them it's evil to be gay and bi when a lot of scholars point to passages questioning jesus's sexuality like Mark 14:51-52, john 13:25 and 21:20. the families of gay and bi kids need to be reached to encourage them to accept their kids for who they are. the main reason gay and bi teens kill themselves is fear from other kids, rejection by their families and the hate that christians spew.

Treat them as you would anyone else and accept them. They are no different than anyone else, there's nothing wrong with being gay so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Move the GLBTQI section away from R&S.

On a real note. Teach equality and true tolerance both to ourselves and others.
