As teachers what do you believe is your philosophy on Education?

Yes, teachers should teach children how to teach themselves. And what is the best way to do this? To help them learn to love learning. Frantic timed math drills, punishments for failing, humiliation...this has to stop.

I believe that students should be given a reason why they are learning certain skills. If they aren't given a reason why a particular topic is important to learn, then they'll start to see it as useless and invaluable. Hands-on activities will help students see how the lessons they learn in class can apply to the real world.

Education sucks; kids need to discover from themselfs what are there gifts; life school is important bu not real school
