I changed the bulb and I put in a new switch. What else could it be. The fridge is a 10 year old Amana.

If the light is on all the time, check and see if the door is making and breaking contact with the new switch. Maybe the door is ajar just enough not to open and close the switch.
If the light is off all the time and you changed the bulb and switch, you have a wire problem. Check the wiring at the socket, there might be a loose or broken wire or bad connection.

10 yrs. is old for a fridge. The light may be the least of your problems at this point. Might want to look into a new one.

A broken wire somewhere. Check continuity between the switch, bulb, and the power cord WITH THE POWER OFF.

Remove the power and remove the bulb and there is a tab in the center of the receptacle. Get something to pull the tab up so it makes better contact. Sometimes you can get it with your finger, but I use a scribe with a 90 deg offset so I can grab ahold of it.

It may be the socket check the bottom center contact point (Power Off) if its burned or blackened scratch it up a bit to expose metal and pull it forward a little, then turn on power and try your bulb.

Their may be a bad connection (well obviously) so you probably might want to look at the wiring that goes to the light, that may include getting a new wiring harness. It shouldn't be too expensive.
