Sorry for the stupid question but it's been on the back of my mind.

Since women's 'moustaches' can be waxed off, I wondered about men.

If you could get your beard waxed, would that mean the new hair would come slower and be softer?

It seems like less hassle than shaving every day and wouldn't that leave them with a smoother face?

It's REALLY REALLY NOT recommended. The follicles of male facial hair are stronger and produce coarser hair than on most of the rest of the body and on the faces of women.

I get other parts of my body waxed and I don't find it all that painful - even the genital area - but I wouldn't consider waxing my face.

If I did, I guess the hair would grow back, thinner, slower and finer.

The other thing is that in order to be able to wax, the hair has to be relatively long, longer than most men would want to leave it before removal.

I'll stick with shaving when it comes to my face, thanks.

Yes. If they want to. It also depends how thick their hair on their beards are because if it is thick, it will be hard to wax off. And it does mean that their hair will come out softer, but hair on men grow differently than hair on women, so it might still grow out the same.
