i need help in know what are some things that can prevent a fish from swimming. and i am talking about fidh in the river and in the ocean. please help me!! thank you

There is a disease that fish can get called "air bladder disease". This is an infection of the air bladder that keeps the fish upright in the water. When it is infected, the fish will usually be found lying on it's side, attempting to swim. The infection is usually caused by a bacteria.

Having a steel hook in their mouth interferes with swimming. Nets, too. Boat anchors being dropped on them.

electrify the water. it will stunn them but not kill them. some scientist use this for population counting
