Where do you come UP with this stuff, buddy?
Jesus meant that we should pay our taxes, regarding that "render unto Ceasar" scripture.
And I suppose conscientious objection means nothing to you, as you're such a Biblical scholar?
Do you know that there are "Christian" groups that preach NOT paying taxes? Huh? And did you know that they are some of the most fundamentalist groups in the country?
I consider myself a Libertarian AND a Christian.
I could care less what you think of me.
I know who and what I am.
Worshiping my Lord and "loving my country" does not automatically dictate that I worship Bush.

Classic myth that G-d is on our side.
Jesus would have problem with accepting homosexuality just as an alternative lifestyle.
Matthew 5:19
Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus was all about peace
Matthew 10:34
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Here is the whole point of Jesus is not for Jesus to comform to our think but we conform to His way of thinking.

Most of the people I know who truly follow Christ & his example are either moderates or liberals. In particular, Jesus was a champion for the poor. I see some of that among true conservatives, but almost none among the neo cons.
As far as the Ceaser quote, that concerned money, my friend. Not your heart & soul. You missed the whole point of what he said. Perhaps more Bible study would be good for you, & less Rush & O'Reilly.

There are many, many liberal Christians that I'm sure would disagree strongly with your trollish little rant. I believe in a creator in some form but don't believe in religions created by people. I belive Jesus existed and was a wise man and a teacher, but no more. I don't hate Christians or followers of any other religion as long as they don't try to force their beliefs on me. Your sweeping generalizations reveal how ignorant and bigoted you truly are.

Jesus meant that nothing is Caesar's and everything is God's.
So pay your tribute to God,not to Caesar or his modern equivalent Big Government Liberals. God is God. The state is not god as godless socialists and liberals believe.
Jesus was a nationalist against globalist government and socialism.
The Tower of Babel represents global government and socialism.
Jesus is against socialism.
Stalin (socialist)
Hitler (socialist)
^ Jesus is against socialism
And finally, who would Jesus abort?

Misquoting text, I see. The condensed version, "Give to the Caesar what is in his capacity and deserving to take. GiveHIM what is in His capacity and deserving ON HIS LEVEL to take." He's basically stating, the Lord is your King, not Caesar, a mere human. A real Christian would have known that.

I consider myself Liberal and I love my country. I don't think Jesus was being political when he said that. You should not use the Bible to push your political believes, that's wrong.....Jesus was very liberal for his times and that got him crucified.

He wasn't saying stand by your country. He was saying obey the law of the land. I pay my taxes. I render to Bush what is Bush's. You sound like your'e chock full of Christ's love.
