I'm not a parent, but if my child were gay or bi, it wouldn't matter. Who cares? As long as the people you love are happy!

My 17 year old daughter has been in & out of trouble since she was 12 years old. This year she confided in me that she is gay & then she introduced her girlfriend. Since that time we have gotten along the best ever and she hasn't been in any trouble or done drugs or drinking. I am thankful every day that she has found someone to love & love her back. I support her & treat her girlfriend as one of my kids. I believe this decision saved her life and I stand very proud by both of them.

I'm not a parent but I wouldn't care, as long as they are happy. One of my friends is gay and she is the greatest person on earth. So having a gay or bisexual son or daughter would not bother me at all.

I agree with you...I certainly wouldn't love my child any less for being gay or bi-sexual...that would be his/her preference and I would support their decision as long as it made them happy. Lord knows they would have enough b.s. to worry about from the rest of the world; at least they'd know that I'd be behind them 100%!

Of course I'd love my child. It's not a choice they make you know. 1 in 10 children are 'born' that way. As parents, it's our job to nurture our children and stand by them no matter who or what life has dealt them.

absolutely. They are my kids and I will love and support them no matter what they do or choose. I would never ever stop loving them or disown them because of something so unimportant as that. As long as they are happy and healthy is the only thing that matters to me

My oldest son is. At first it was a shock. What you said-as long as he's happy, I'll accept it. I don't like it, that's the way it is I guess.

I am going to tell my parents tomorrow when they call. I haven't seen them in a while and want them to know.
I hope they will still love me.
