Im taking Chemistry, Physics, Math, this semester, and im getting around 65 in chemistry and around that in physics aswell but i'm getting 94 in math!, and biology I have next semester, so we'll see. Does this mean I'll never be able to become a pharmacist because everyone is telling me get 90 or just give up and im like wtf? Maybe I just have diffuclty in physics but I love chemistry but im only ok at it. So is pharmacy right for me? I heard I can start out as a pharmacy assistant/technician by taking college courses If im going at this rate and then If I'm ready I can go for pharmacy. is this true? Do I have to get extremily high marks just to get into pharmacy programs in University or College?

"I love chemistry but im only ok at it." First off, 65 is not "ok," it is abysmal. You need to recalibrate your perception of your own performance. Regardless of whether or not you "like" chemistry, if a 65 is indicative of your skill in chemistry, you need a different major.

Take a critical look at WHY you are getting poor marks in chemistry. If an examination of your performance reveals a problem that you can correct, do so! You must completely turn around your performance in chemistry if you want to achieve your goal of becoming a pharmacist.

Don't listen to *them.* Simply decide if it is important enough that you will do whatever it takes to become a pharmacist.

Chemistry is your most important grade for pharmacy. Most states do not require any formal education for pharm techs. You need very high grades for pharmacy. Nationally, most successful applicants have college GPAs in the mid 3s and PCAT scores above 75.

OK......while the "don't let anybody tell you what you can do" mentality sure sounds wonderful, it isn't terribly pragmatic. Do you want your pharmacist to have struggled with basic sciences?

So, how do you proceed? Obviously you need to get your grades up where they need to be. It is that simple. Best of luck! Because you will need high scores to get into pharmacy school.

I really believe that in order to be competitive, you will need at least a 3.XX. GPA is just one factor to your admissions.
