Im in high school and I have a different musical taste than most people my age. I really love standards and jazz and stuff. Also I just like artists that most people my age dont like. ex: I like Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Dean MArtin, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, HArry Connick Jr, Nat King Cole, Luis Armstrong, Rod Stewart....o Van Morrison.....you get the idea. I was just wondering if there was anyone else like that. O and I still like "popular music" but I think its kinda overrated to just listen to MTV stuff when theres this kind of stuff around. Thanks. :)

I love the 50s-70s music, I am 25 and have liked this music since I was 10.and country.music. it is what you like that matters.
people get stuck in their own world and never try different things ; such as music.

yes, there are a lot more like you,
I like things my friends don't like. and same thing with popular music.
but you're not wierd (at least not in a bad way, its a good kind of wierd)

Frank Sinatra, yeah (Bon Jovi loves Frank, even used him in a lyric for their song it's my life.) Ray Charles, everyone loves him, I don't care what they say, everyone loves him, (especially since the Ray movie.)

(And people with an iq above 100 think mtv is overrated, at least some of it.)
but be sure to try different stuff.

who cares? .... its better to just be yourself, who cares what other people think! Everyone has their own taste in music and not everyone likes the same things. You're your own person, show it, be different from others, stand out in the crowd dont join it. It's better to be different from everyone else. I can't really relate with the music part, a lot of people in my school like my kind of music but that doesn't mean everyone does. I know a lot of people who like different kinds of music, nothing stops them. As long as you like it, then who cares.

You're not weird at all! I love classical music and everyone just thinks I'm a freak. Hopefully college will be better, with more mature people around. Pop music is just overrated garbage made by people who can't sing and have to have their voice modified.
