Would have to say Television.
The biggest hog of energy for both would be the monitor (or tube), unless the computer was being used 100% of the time, where the screen didn't get a chance to go into power save mode, then it would be close, but television to me would burn more energy in the long run.

It depends. A regular CRT TV consumes about 150 watts. A PC with integrated graphics or entry level graphics and LCD screen would also consume about 150 watts. However a PC with high end graphics and LCD screen would consume about 250-300 watts, comparable to a 42" Plasma TV.
