i have a standard vinyl blind that has a spring mechanism at the top. the spring broke one day and i want to know how to fix it. the blind just falls all the way down. the spindle at the top of the window just keeps spinning. is there any way to fix it?

A standard vinyl blind is cheap to replace. That's what vinyl is all about. Just buy a new one.

You can not fix the broken spring but you should be able to buy a new roller and attach your old blind to it. It might be just as cheap to just replace the blind unless the one you have is special in some way (decorated? difficult to match color?)

Tha pawl in the rachet mechanism broke.
Solution buy a new blind, maybe something not so cheap this time.
