how can I cause the notification pop-ups to expire, they never do !

I'm not sure what else to call them, but when you hover over a tool on the tool bar or over a menu item, the tips call-out is what I'm talking about.

not the tips, but the info notification.

I mean the info pop-up's you may have to use your imagination a little to understand what I'm talking about
