I think it was. Longshore no longer had the ball and the Oregon defender dove at his knees! Very cheap!

It would have been a pentalty in the NFL though.

yep...it was. Great game though. I think in close games, sometimes players and coaches are too willing to do cheap stuff....cause in this day and age, you can't afford to lose. Sad, actually.

(grew up 40 minute from CAL....love em. I'm an Irish fan first, but Cal has always been #2....Nice 4th quarter...Longshore and company are getting very clutch...I love it)

I'm a Cal fan, but I don't think it was cheap. It actually didn't look that bad, it just happened to be his same ankle he broke 2 years ago.
If he didn't get hurt, I don't think this would be an issue.
Anyhow, we won, and Cal has a bye next week so Nate Longshore has 2 weeks to get better.

As you can tell from my name, I'm not an Oregon fan, but no. It wasn't cheap, he didn't really knock him down. His momentum carried him into Nate's leg, and it hurt Nate's already broken ankle.
But remember, we have next week off, before we get to go to Memorial Stadium to watch the #3 team in the nation (even if FL wins today, either LSU or FL will lose next week when they play each other).
Go Bears!
ROLL ON YOU BEARS!

Not sure if it was a cheap shot, but GO BEARS!!!

Lookin forward to seeing Cal at #4 in the next polls (since Oklahoma and WVU lost).
