I have an EasyNote R0422 (Packard Bell) And the sound isnt working. I tried downloading the sound driver from the site, and it doesnt make any difference. Any volume controls just say that basically there isnt a sound card. Any help please?

Try installing the driver again BUT this time with all startups disabled. Run msconfig to disable startups. You can enable them afterwards.

control panel / add & remove new hardware ( if u put in a new sound card ). control panel / add & remove new software If u added new software 4 sound).
all so check device manager 2C if u have a conflict with the soubd card U can all so up date ur drive from there.
