Someone please explain to me what this verbal irony means "You have yourself to consider, after all" (Antigone to her sister Ismene for refusing to help her bury Polyneices)

She is being sarcastic. Her sister doesn't want to get in trouble. Antigone could care less. To her, family comes first. To her sister, reputation is more important. She won't risk being jailed just to bury a dead body. Antigone can think of nothing else. Pax - C

Antigone is saying that Ismene should think of herself, but what she really means is that Ismene should think of their dead brother. I'd call it more sarcasm than irony.

anyone seen burying him was supposed to be beheaded according to the kings orders. "you have yourself to consider, after all" is another way of saying "i guess its to risky for you to do it"....
