I'll watch it for a second as I'm flipping through the channels on Saturday night. When I was younger, I watched it with my parents & not by choice but my parents liked the show, so I got used to watching it. I loved the Lennon Sisters & Bobby Burgess, the former original Mouseketeer. Bobby sure could dance.

Occasionally I'll get a flicker in changing the channel. But I
don't leave it there to watch. When it was newly taped I did
watch it when nothing else was on and our channels limited.
My grandparents loved him. And my grandpa knew him. He
had a small band that traveled up and down the Dakotas where so many Germans, like him lived. He was from S.Dakota. He'd play barn dances and local things like that too. Anyone who'd pay to see them play and dance to the
music. I always wondered where he got his attitude of being
so wonderful came from. I have read he was quite a hard man
to work for, as he wanted perfection. So why didn't he ever
learn to speak English properly, when he had plenty of time
and exposure to learn? My grandpa lost all of his accent by
old age, tho Mr Welk still sounded like he was a fairly new
arrival from the old country.

It is on Sat, nights on the educational channel. I too had to sit through it as a child. I liked the Lennon Sisters, Bobby and Joanne the blonde lady piano player.

Truthfully, I don't think I could sit through an hour of it again
It was tough enough as a kid I was actually happy to wash the dishes and they could call me to watch the 3 I liked
