Or do you just hate their actions?

I hate their actions. I don't hate anyone in particular, I just wish they would be kinder, or nicer, or less cruel, like the Y!Answers board.

A person is what they do.

What's could possible be the point of just hating actions.

Frank: I'm confused Bob.
Bob: Why?
Frank: Well, I just kicked you in the balls and you don't seem mad.
Bob: No Frank, I've matured past the point where I blame PEOPLE for the vicious brutal acts they commit. I sure hate kicks to the groin, but I'm not about to take that hatred out on you.
Frank: Gee, Bob. That's pretty damn enlightened. Say, when you've recovered enough to stand up, will you buy me a beer.
Bob: Sure Frank.
Frank: In the mean time I think I'll rape you wife.
Bob: God, I really really hate rape.
Frank: Yeah, but you won't hold it against me, will you?
Bob: NO, NO. Hate the action, not the person. That's my motto.

Actions, speaking louder than words, define the person as he is at that moment. Is it wrong to hate the man who defines murder by his actions? Let his future actions prove he can do more good than he did bad, and he will define the person who may be not-hated, or even admired or loved. But as long as he defines evil by his free-willed actions, he may be despised and hated.

Always the actions. I pray for the person...wish them well and move on. It's sad...many in this world are sick...yet the good people are so worth knowing.
There is a person I used to know and her personality has changed. She had become evil and self-centered. It really made me sad of her change, but yet I still wish her well and pray for her, even through all the harassment and pain this person caused me. It's sad when good friends go bad. We (I) hope people find their way.
Blessings,

I hate the person - sometimes their actions may seem harmless but if you hate the person you know the motives behind their seemingly innocuous actions.

My first reaction was the actions, but then I thought well isn't it the beliefs that make the person and the beliefs that make people act so maybe it is the person. I hope not.

Good question right now there is one person that I dislike !! & yes good point it was their actions & evil words that makes me dislike their character so therefore the person is apparently evil in words and actions :))Sad to say they are in the dark and they will remain that way .....

Both. Like it or not, it's your actions (and the history of your actions) that define you to the rest of the World. Does the Pope dream about wild sex orgies? I don't know. And neither do you. And neither does anyone else..... Except the Pope.
