you have to be from florida to answer this question. i live in florida , can you drive to school and to work on your own if you have a drivers permit

No. Permits require a licensed driver over 21 to be in the seat beside you to operate a motor vehicle. It is in the permit manual you got when you applied for the permit. It is also online at Florida DMV.
