He may have a milk allergy. You should try to call your ped office or if your insurance has a nurseline you should call them.

Call your doctor and see what he says. Also ask him to check if your baby has pyloric stenosis.

My son had the same problems. We changed formulas, bottles, etc. until finally we had to go to the ER (after 5 weeks of going thru this) and the doctor on duty that night recommended we have an ultra sound to check for this. We did and it turned out positive for pyloric stenosis. They checked our son in to the hospital immediately and he had surgery the next day. There was an immediate improvement in our son's demeanor. By the next day he was smiling, eating well and keeping his formula down. Now our son is 3.5 months and has gained weight, grown so much and is so happy. Hopefully you won't have to go through the heartache of having your baby go in for surgery, but it never hurts to have the doctor check.

Good luck.

Keep calm.

Your two week old baby's stomach is little more than the size of a walnut. Babies throw up milk - frequently and most often when you are wearing your best dress/sweater/blouse.

If he's distressed, call the doc. It's what we pay them for.

it is natural for a baby to throw up milk, but the constipated part i don't know take the baby to the hospital, just in case.

Get to the dr since he is so young. The er can give him something for the constipation.

You have to call the advice nurse at your clinic. The formula or breast milk may not be agreeing with her. Your not suppose to give them any medicine and they'll tell you that when you speak to them. I had a similar experience, come to find out my baby was colic and we had to switch formulas.

first for gas by mylicon drops. they will help him pass his gas, try switching his formula for constipation, boys don't need as much iron as girls try a soy formula...for the throwing up my oldest son did that at that age and it ended up being pyloric stenosis (not sure if i spelled it right) it is where the opening in the stomach that is suppose to open and close doesn't open right and the "food" comes up almost projectile vomiting..if that is what is happening I would call your ped asap....especially if it is after every feeding..good luck and take care!!!

Ask your dr. but I had to give my son mylicon drops or GasX for infants and it helped a TON. Also you may want to get one of those wedge pillows from Babies R US for him to lay on. It keeps them from laying flat on their back and that helped my son from spitting up so much, since he had reflux. It looks like a little ramp made out of foam. I think they are called a sleep positioner. gl to ya!
