What mass of HCL in grams is required to react with 0.750 g AL(OH) 3? What mass of water is grams is prodcuced?
here is what I did:
-750 ALOH3 X 1 mol/77.8 = .0096 moles AL(OH) 3
0.0096 mol AL (OH) 3 X 3 mol HCL
0.0289 X 35.04 = 1.0126 g HCL
.0096 mol AL ( OH) 3 X 3 mol H20 = 0.0288
0.0288
31.88 g H20

Ms. Melissa, you should ALWAYS write the equation involved in the reaction. In your last calc. it look like you are high by a factor of ten. Check your math. Also, the mol wt of HCl seems slightly low.
